Explore the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda

And align with the wisdom of nature.

Ayurveda, which translates to “life knowledge” is a system of health and healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda recognizes that all aspects of life are connected. As humans, we are a part of nature. We may live in modern homes with modern amenities, but we are intimately tied to the natural world.

We connect to the natural world through our five senses, the food we eat, and the air we breathe. Our circadian rhythm invites us to rise with the sun and to go to bed when it’s dark. Seasonal changes happen around us and can be felt within us too. Learning the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda often feels more like “remembering” because it’s knowledge that already exists within ourselves.

The principles of Ayurveda work to support balance between our internal and external world. As we align with the wisdom of nature’s intelligence, we support the well-being of our body, mind, and spirit by:

  • Establishing a daily routine to care for our body, mind, and senses (Dinacharya)

  • Adjusting our daily routine as the seasons change (Ritucharya)

  • Implementing lifestyle practices to balance the doshas

  • Cultivating peacefulness (Sattva)

  • Increasing the vital essences (Ojas, Prana, & Tejas)

  • Optimizing digestion (Agni)

  • Integrating movement into our day to support dosha balance

  • Ensuring quality sleep and adequate rest to replenish

  • Cultivating connections - to ourselves, nature, our dear ones, and community

  • Honoring our inner wisdom - listening to the needs our our body, mind, and spirit

“Ayurveda teaches us to cherish our innate-nature - "to love and honor who we are", not as what people think or tell us, “who we should be.”
